Our Team
At the heart of everything we do is the team that make it all. All of our tailoring is made by our team of cutters, tailors, finishers and pressers as well as our operational team. Across our multiple locations we are close to 200 people, each of whom play their vital part in ensuring our Bespoke and Ready to Wear clothing is made to be world leading.
Our Founders
Cad & The Dandy was founded by Ian Meiers and James Sleater, who met through their families connections in the couturier business. Whilst Sleater focused on the look and feel of the garments, Meiers brought the desire to drag British tailoring and Savile Row back to the cutting edge of menswear.
This partnership and shared quest, has ensured that the tailoring house has become Savile Row’s largest in just 15 years. Since its establishment in 2008, the company has opened three shops across the world in New York and Stockholm as well as its London home on Savile Row, each with their own bespoke workshops, making garments for members of The Royal Family and stars of the big screen.
Our Bespoke Team
From old hands to young apprentices our bespoke team is made up of hugely talented people with years of experience and a collaborative approach. Each of our tailors understand the daily demands placed on work suits, with heavy wear and travelling being major concerns. On hand to advise on the wide range of fabrics available, in breathable, anti-crease, lightweight and mid-weight options, we’ll ensure you look your best whatever work-day challenges you face.
Cad & The Dandy tailor bespoke business suits for first impressions that count. A well made business suit is an essential part of every working man’s wardrobe, reflecting professionalism, good taste and an expression of personal style.
Our Ready to Wear Team
All our tailored garments are made in house and retain the intricacies of traditional English handwork blended with a sleek fusion of modern style, slimmer shoulder padding and a more pronounced waist, creating a look that is both contemporary and unique to the house.
Cad & The Dandy’s sleek silhouette continues to remain in demand the world over with the company having furthered its overseas expansion. Our Ready to Wear is sold in its own dedicated shop at 7-8 Savile row, in Stockholm and online with a New York Shop opening in Fall 2024.
Our New York Team
The Team in New York includes seasoned locals and members that learned their trade in our Savile Row shop and now are based Stateside ensuring that our strong English aesthetic is carried through with the same keen eye for quality and detail.
The showroom is one of the grandest locations in New York being in a penthouse on Billionaires Row on 57th Street. The ateliers double height ceilings mean its the perfect place to give natural light and to sit back and view our cloth ranges.
