Meet your Boston Tailor
Born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium, Steve built a career in Sales, Business Development, and Marketing before transitioning to menswear after moving to New York City in 2016. He trained with a Manhattan-based MTM tailor and joined Cad & The Dandy in 2019 as Managing Director US. His early fascination with clothing and style evolved into a passion for suiting and customer service, leading him to a more personal, advisory role in the industry. In 2020, he launched the Washington D.C. Trunk Show program, bringing bespoke tailoring to one of the East Coast’s most sartorial cities.
Our Bespoke
Our bespoke garments are meticulously crafted from the ground up in our own dedicated bespoke workshop, hand-tailored precisely to your unique measurements, specifications and style.
Our House Cut is expressed by a nipped in waist, offering a high degree of shape without compromising comfort, but delivering a more refined fit than the traditional British silhouette.
Most of the elements of making a suit are best achieved by hand work, not least as it allows our tailors to display their skill and the care they put into each garment but it also ensures that each garment is truly made to a three dimensional shape, unique to you.
The small details of handmade buttonholes show you that your suit has been hand made by craftsmen. Each one of our suits is completed by a ‘finisher’ whose hand skills are on display for all to see.
Our Process
The process starts with a consultation with one of our tailors, where you will discuss what the suit is intended for.
We have a library of nearly 10,000 cloths to select from. Once we have found the cloth for you and settled on the style, its on to the measurements.
These consist of detailed body measurements and posture configurations as well as garment & stylistic specific measures. From these measurements our cutters draft a unique pattern for each and every item or order.
We will then invite you in for a fitting where we will look and assess together the fit of the garment and review the styling.
Finally the suit is crafted to the meticulously quality of Savile Row Bespoke. Over 60 hours go in to make your suit to the highest possible standards.
